Maps are not only fun to look at and explore, but also great to wear. First Lady Michelle Obama recently wore a map-printed dress while co-hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The dress is Gucci and features a 17th century-style map. Instead of locations, the dress displayed words like “Sensibility,” “A Great Heart,” and “Honesty.” According to US Weekly, the dress was inspired by “La Carte de Tendre,” a French map from 1654 depicting an imaginary land of love.
