Leidos to Develop FAA Satellite

Leidos was awarded a $117 million task order from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop and maintain the 7th generation Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite. The project supports the FAA Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) for GPS navigation. Leidos and its partners will build and test new satellite payloads and integrate ground uplink stations with the GEO 7 spacecraft. The task order includes a four-year development period with a targeted payload launch in Q1 2020, and a 10-year operations and maintenance phase beginning in 2021.

NT Concepts and Veritone Partner on AI Analytics

NT Concepts and Veritone established a partnership enabling NT Concepts to deliver Veritone’s aiWARE platform to its federal customers. The platform uses hundreds of trained cognitive AI engines to optimize data routing and decrease processing time. Additionally, aiWARE can be hosted in virtually any environment and its plug-and-play application system means it is unlikely to be overtaken by new tech or other agency investments in the future.
