Vricon Becomes GSA-Approved Vendor

Vricon was awarded a five-year Schedule 70 contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), making the company a GSA-approved vendor. This contract, which took effect Dec. 1, adds Vricon to a pre-approved list of technology companies for federal purchases, simplifying the procurement process and further ensuring government agencies receive high quality, cost-effective 3D solutions.

Orbital ATK Awarded NRO Launch Contract

The U.S. Air Force awarded Orbital ATK a $29.2 million fixed-price contract to launch a Minotaur 1 rocket on behalf of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) within the next 24 months, reports Space News. In addition to Orbital ATK, the Air Force also picked SpaceX and Lockheed Martin for the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracting vehicle.

CACI Announces $31 Million U.S. Army Research Contract

CACI was awarded a $31 million contract to support modeling and simulation technology for the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command’s Communications-Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate. This three-year task order, awarded under the R2-3G contract vehicle, represents new business in CACI’s Surveillance and Reconnaissance market. Under this contract, CACI will support the development of realistic electro-optic/infrared and SIGINT payload modeling and simulation capabilities and training systems.

ARL Opens Online Store

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory launched the “ARL IP Store” to increase public access to ARL intellectual property such as its patents in an effort to convert research into jobs and innovations for the warfighter. The ARL IP Store is a website that allows users to browse technologies, select a specific opportunity, download the patent and published papers, and apply for a license to make, use, and sell the technology, all online. The store is opening with an inventory of 20 technologies, a fraction of ARL’s more than 300 active patents, and will include many more in the future.

Prescient Mobile App Now in NGA GEOINT App Store

Prescient released its Prescient Traveler Mobile Application on the NGA GEOINT App Store. The app in NGA’s store will allow Department of Defense and Intelligence Community personnel to download the application directly to an approved mobile device from anywhere in the world. The application serves as a traveler safety tool for both domestic and international travelers and contains features that provide users with advanced, real-time situational awareness to help avoid high-risk areas.

Justin Harvey joined Accenture as managing director and global lead for the Incident Response Practice. Harvey brings more than 20 years of experience to the company and will focus on expanding Accenture’s incident response and breach readiness solutions in his new role.

DLT Solutions appointed David Rubal as its first chief technologist for data and analytics. Rubal will oversee the company’s data analytics, data science, big data, and business intelligence portfolio. Prior to joining DLT, Rubal served in senior leadership roles at Oracle, Blue Coat Systems, Tableau Software, EMC, Cisco, and many others.
