exactEarth awarded MDA Contract; IBM Collaborates with Pitney Bowes; OGSystems Announces Partnership in the BlueGlass Platform

exactEarth awarded MDA Contract

MDA awarded exactEarth a four-year, $2.7 million contract to provide AIS data processing services for the Canadian Department of National Defence’s Polar Epsilon 2 (PE2) project. The PE2 project is a national initiative combining radar and automatic identification system (AIS) data from the RADARSAT Constellation Mission to provide enhanced maritime domain awareness that will identify, detect, and track vessels. exactEarth will provide services to establish, test, and validate the AIS processing service, which will then be followed by two years of service operations.

IBM Collaborates with Pitney Bowes

IBM and Pitney Bowes are collaborating to deliver deeper location-based insights for advanced customer experiences. IBM announced it would incorporate global geospatial and political boundary data from Pitney Bowes to increase the geospatial capabilities of IBM’s Cognos and Watson analytics platforms. Pitney Bowes’ data will enable IBM customers to ingest other geographically relevant data for richer and more accurate reporting and insights.

OGSystems Announces Partnership in the BlueGlass Platform

OGSystems announced Prescient, a global risk management firm, as the latest partnership in the development of BlueGlass, OGSystems’ location-based intelligence platform. BlueGlass combines commercial remote sensing, big data, and cognitive analytics to deliver real-time insights through situational awareness, anomaly alerting, and reporting of activities that could pose risk to the operations of its users. Prescient combines leading edge technology and human analysis to deliver simple, actionable insights that help clients mitigate enterprise-wide risks.
