NGA commemorates 20 years since the organization was formed as the National Imagery and Mapping Agency
Friday’s Food for Thought: Mapping Ramenskoye
Ramenskoye, a former Soviet Union flight test center located outside of Moscow, began operation in 1952 and housed new Soviet military aircraft. Shortly afterward, during the Cold War, the United States began a reconnaissance mission on the location.
