Transforming Data into Decisions
Hexagon AB brings a “spy espionage” game and advanced modeling & simulation to GEOINT 2018
A concert of Hexagon AB (Booth 937) subsidiaries comprising Hexagon Geospatial, Hexagon US Federal, and Luciad is joining forces at GEOINT 2018 to advance geospatial data visualization and analysis in support of intelligence and defense missions. The group brings a diverse range of games, competitions, and speaking events to its display.
Hexagon Geospatial will host its student M.Appathon competition Monday, inviting university undergraduates to use its Smart M.App platform to create an Incident Analyzer View visualizing the position, frequency, and temporal characteristics of specific types of occurrences.
The Smart M.App platform will also be used by Stewart Middle School students, who will map amusement parks in Florida to determine where to go in the event of adverse weather conditions.
Hexagon US Federal is bringing back its Global Espionage Challenge after a successful debut at GEOINT 2017 in San Antonio. Attendees are challenged to “find the spy” by answering a series of online trivia questions and using selective filter values in Luciad’s desktop solution, LuciadRIA. Daily winners will receive a Holy Stone HS100 personal drone.
Finally, Luciad CTO Frank Suykens will speak during USGIF’s Modeling and Simulation Working Group meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Room 19 about how to bridge the gap between the GIS and modeling & solutions worlds.
