Perspecta Awarded $7.5 Billion DISA SETI Contract

Perspecta was awarded a five-year $7.5 billion Systems Engineering Technology and Innovation (SETI) contract from the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA).The DISA SETI program streamlines government procurement of critical engineering expertise to research, design, develop, implement, integrate, and optimize Department of Defense (DOD) information technology capabilities, systems, and solutions. Perspecta will compete for task orders on the SETI program to provide complex engineering support services and advanced technology solutions to address current and future DoD mission requirements.

Raytheon Supporting Safer Air Travel

Raytheon has delivered the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Geosynchronous Earth Orbiting (GEO) six-satellite navigation payload to the Federal Aviation Administration. The WAAS GEO 6 payload is now operational and fully integrated into the WAAS network, working with two other WAAS satellite payloads already in orbit. WAAS is a North American satellite-based augmentation system, which increases GPS satellite signal accuracy for precision approach at 200 feet altitude to meet strict air navigation performance and safety requirements for all classes of aircraft in all phases of flight.

Leidos Provides Support Services for the CDC

Leidos was awarded a one-year $60 million task order, followed by four one-year options, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide support services for the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Under the task order, Leidos will provide full product lifecycle support for the NHSN system, including product management, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, user support, message processing, documentation, and project management. Leidos will also provide support for healthcare-associated infection (HAI) protocol development, training on HAI definitions and the use of NHSN, and data quality management best practices to support HAI surveillance and data reporting.

Booz Allen and Orbital Insight Form Strategic Alliance

Orbital Insight partnered with Booz Allen to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms on its new software platform, Modzy. The U.S. executive branch and DoD have called for the rapid adoption of AI in order to “protect service members, safeguard U.S. citizens, defend allies and partners, and improve the affordability, effectiveness, and speed of our operations.” Orbital Insight and Booz Allen will support the Intelligence Community—including NGA, NRO, and DIA—in this mission with geospatial analytics.

LinQuest Acquires The Perduco Group

LinQuest has acquired The Perduco Group, a high-growth and leading provider of advanced data analytics, data architecting, and model-based simulation to defense and civilian agencies. Together, LinQuest and Perduco will deliver enhanced decision analytics, operations research, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mission planning capabilities. The acquisition brings LinQuest an expanded contract portfolio with multiple contract paths for its defense customer base. Contract vehicles include the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, and the DoD’s Rapid Innovation Fund. Additional active contracts support the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Air Force Materiel Command, the Air Education and Training Command, and the Intelligence Community. Perduco’s existing customer base has limited overlap with LinQuest’s current footprint and includes a number of promising opportunities for the future.
