Leidos Wins GSA Contract to Support HR3D Program

Leidos will support the Army Geospatial Center’s High Resolution 3D Geospatial Information (HR3D) program through a prime contract from the General Services Administration (GSA). The single-award task order under GSA’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract has a one-year base period and includes four one-year options carrying a total potential value of $777 million. Under the contract, Leidos will collect, process, disseminate, store, and maintain HR3D geospatial information, as well as conduct airborne and terrestrial collection operations, process the information, and produce geospatial products. Leidos will team with KEYW, Neany, OGSystems, Pixia, Sigma Space, and Woolpert to support the program.

Booz Allen Hamilton Awarded E-SITE Task Order

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a five-year time and materials task order valued at up to $268,000. The task order will provide infrastructure engineering and operation services to support DIA and Intelligence Community information technology requirements under the Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (E-SITE) contract vehicle.

NGA Renews Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery Program

DigitalGlobe announced the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has renewed the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (Global EGD) program under the EnhancedView contract. This is the sixth consecutive year DigitalGlobe will deliver online access to global, high-resolution commercial satellite imagery under the program. Numerous features will be added, to include shortwave infrared imagery (SWIR) and 8-band multi-spectral imagery, email alerts of new collections over a user’s area of interest, and improved archive ordering.

Additionally, DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-3 satellite captured images of the wildfires at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, from which the company’s WorldView-4 satellite was originally scheduled to launch Sept. 16. These super-spectral images were taken with the satellite’s SWIR sensor, which has the ability to pierce through smoke.According to DigitalGlobe, the fires are 70 percent contained. DigitalGlobe is working closely with United Launch Alliance and the U.S. Air Force to identify a new WorldView-4 launch date in early October.

Esri Launches Collegiate Global Content Challenge

Esri launched a Global Content Challenge hoping to engage college students around the world. In this competition, students will tell compelling scientific stories via the Esri Story Map Journal app, using personal geographic analyses, visualizations, predictive models, and more to explore a variety of themes. The challenge is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as high school students enrolled in advanced-placement human geography or environmental science courses. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 11 and winners will be announced Dec. 5.

PrecisionHawk Partners with PCI Geomatics
