CACI Provides Intelligence Analysis to U.S. Forces in Afghanistan

CACI was awarded nearly $907 million for new and continuing work on a U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Global Intelligence Support Service five-year task order contract. The company’s intelligence and counterintelligence experts will continue to provide mission expertise in intelligence operations and analytic support from locations within the United States and abroad to support U.S. operations in Afghanistan. CACI analysts use industry-leading tools to accurately and efficiently analyze intelligence for U.S. Forces–Afghanistan/Resolute Support (USFOR-A/RS), including potential insider threats.

Lockheed Martin Integrates GSTAR System In F-35 Modernization

Lockheed Martin received a $25 million initial contract award for engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) for the GPS Spatial Temporal Anti-Jam Receiver (GSTAR) system that will be integrated into the F-35 as part of its modernization phase, also known as Block 4. The F-35 is the most technologically advanced fighter ever built. As threats advance and technology evolves, the joint government and industry team is modernizing the system to ensure it remains a step ahead. GSTAR is one of several key enhancements planned across the F-35’s sensors, data links, engine, mission systems, weapons, and more.

Northrop Grumman Utilizes Dozens of Unmanned Vehicles in DARPA Swarm Test

Northrop Grumman demonstrated progress in its heterogeneous unmanned vehicle (UxV) swarming with the test of Rapid Integration Swarm Ecosystem (RISE) at the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency’s (DARPA) second field experiment. At the most recent field experiment, the company demonstrated its versatility and showcased its open architecture by integrating various capabilities from associate contractors (“Swarm Sprinters”) into RISE. Northrop Grumman’s subcontractors from Intelligent Automation, Inc. and the University of Central Florida showcased tactical robotic capabilities and enhanced sketch-based user interfaces.

Esri and 3DR to Launch the ArcGIS Drone Collection

Esri partnered with 3DR to expand Esri’s current drone imagery to offer Drone2Map for ArcGIS, with an end-to-end enterprise drone data and analytics solution for Esri’s ArcGIS platform. Esri customers can achieve operational efficiency by leveraging the elastic processing capabilities of the cloud. By adding 3DR’s Site Scan unmanned aerial systems flight planning and processing software to ArcGIS, users benefit by having extensive drone flight planning and image processing, management, and analysis capabilities within a single solution.

SAIC Delivers Apps and Data Content

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) awarded a $68 million Zeus contract to SAIC. The Zeus acquisition is the follow-on contract for the Innovative GEOINT Application Provider Program (IGAPP) that SAIC has supported since 2014. SAIC partners with startups and innovative sources to acquire apps and data content that support geospatial intelligence missions.

Ball Aerospace named Dr. Dave Kaufman the chief operating officer (COO), effective January 1, 2020. Kaufman joined Ball Aerospace in 2000 as Senior Program and Capture Manager, National Security Space. Since 2013, he has served as vice president and general manager of the National Defense Strategic Business Unit.
