Orbital Sidekick Announces Upcoming Launch of Its Most Powerful Satellite: Aurora, Expanding the Company’s Focus To Promote Sustainability Efforts Across Multiple Industries

Orbital Sidekick (OSK) announced the upcoming launch of its newest and most powerful hyperspectral imaging satellite: “Aurora.” Aurora leverages OSK’s previous experience collecting and analyzing hyperspectral data to provide action-oriented insights on the world around us, with a broad focus on sustainability. The Aurora satellite will serve OSK’s customers in the energy, mining, and defense sectors, including expanding contracts and pilot program opportunities for oil and gas pipeline monitoring & methane mapping, clean energy resource exploration, sustainable mining practices, and wildfire risk mitigation.

Kitware Provides State-of-the-Art, Field-Deployable AI in DARPA URSA Phase II

After a successful performance during Phase I of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) URSA program, the team led by SoarTech, which includes Kitware, Michigan Tech Research Institute, and Threat Tec as subcontractors, has been selected to continue to Phase II. Three teams participated in Phase I, and our team was the only one selected for Phase II. The goal of URSA, or Urban Reconnaissance through Supervised Autonomy, is to help U.S. ground troops identify threats among a civilian population through active surveillance and autonomous reasoning.

Cisa Issues Guidance For Using Mitre Att&Ck® For Cyber Threat Intelligence

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has partnered with the Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development InstituteTM (HSSEDI), which worked with the MITRE ATT&CK® team, to issue guidance to help cyber threat intelligence analysts make better use of MITRE ATT&CK. HSSEDI is a DHS-owned federally funded research and development center operated by MITRE.

CACI Awarded $82M Contract to Provide Cyber and Ground Electronic Warfare Expertise and Technology to the U.S. Army

CACI International Inc announced the U.S. Army’s C5ISR Center Electronic Warfare Air/Ground Survivability Division (EWAGS) has awarded CACI a four-year $82 million contract to continue support for the Army’s cyber and ground electronic warfare (EW) missions. CACI’s technicians and engineers will partner with the Army to monitor, analyze and develop complex technology tools and systems to counter evolving threats. CACI experts provide the analysis to help ensure that Army EOD ECM systems provide maximum protection. CACI also supports compatibility testing with new and legacy C5ISR systems to uncover system vulnerability and compatibility issues with other Army EW or tactical communication systems.
