NGA Seeks Proposals for Airborne SAR BAA
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) seeks proposals for platforms designed to enhance image processes used with airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) by expanding the type and number of SAR sensor data that can be integrated with the GEOINT standard. According to the agency, the solicitation falls under the fifth topic of the agency’s three- year Boosting Innovative GEOINT (BIG) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) initiative. The target value for the contract award is not to exceed $430,140 with a performance period of one year or less. Proposals are due May 1.
HPE Software Achieves Information Processing Standard
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced its HPE SecureData software achieved the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 validation of Format-Preserving Encryption (FPE). HPE SecureData with Hyper FPE delivers a NIST-standardized method of protecting data at-rest, in-motion, and in-use, and maintains the format, meaning, value, and logic in the data.
Astro Digital Secures $16.65M in Series A Funding
Astro Digital announced it has secured $16.65 million in Series A funding. The funding will accelerate the launch cycle for Astro Digital’s Landmapper constellation and development of the company’s existing analytics platform, and in turn will enable the company to provide almost daily imaging of the globe by the end of 2017.
