Deloitte to Provide Human Resources Management to NGA

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) awarded a $63 million human resources management contract to Deloitte. The contract will help NGA’s Human Development Directorate adopt a more integrated approach to human resources operations.

USGIF Members to Participate in OGC Testbed 12 Demonstration

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) will host an OGC Testbed 12 demonstration and exposition Nov. 29 at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) headquarters in Reston, Va. The demo will feature the technology developed during OGC’s latest Interoperability Program initiative. Testbed 12 sponsors include USGIF Organizational Members DigitalGlobe and NGA, as well as EUROCONTROL, Dstl, FAA, and NASA. Thirty geospatial technology leaders came together to prototype solutions to the sponsors’ interoperability requirements, using existing OGC standards, as well as new candidate standards introduced specifically for the test bed. This event will showcase the results.

Air Force Posts RFI for GEOINT R&D

The U.S. Air Force recently posted a request for information for imaging and targeting support for GEOINT research and development, reports Intelligence Community News. The project will begin in 2018 and seeks white papers and tri-charts by Jan. 18. Submitted white papers should identify potential candidate programs and technology efforts related to the development and demonstration of GEOINT sensors, associated on-board data processing, and algorithms and components supporting end-to-end GEOINT functionality.
