Harris Continues Support for Air Force Space Programs

Harris Corporation was awarded $106 million in follow-on contract options to sustain ground-based systems supporting U.S. missile warning, missile defense, and space surveillance missions. This support is under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s System Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR) contract.

Esri and Harris Partner to Modernize Foundational Data Production

Esri and Harris Corporation have formed a broad strategic relationship to develop modernized foundation GEOINT data production, apps, and tools within a WebGIS environment for federal agencies. The partnership will significantly advance the state of the art in automated GEOINT production methods leveraging commercial-off-the-shelf based solutions. This collaborative effort will help programs across multiple security domains meet the surge of commercial imagery from small sats, UAVs, and open-source data.

Canada Awards UrtheCast $5 million to Support OptiSAR Constellation

UrtheCast will receive $5 million in funding as part of the Canadian Government’s Technology Development Program (TDP) to develop new satellite technologies. The TDP award will aid UrtheCast in the growth of its planned OptiSAR Constellation, a 16-satellite constellation currently slated for deployment in 2020-2021.

BAE Systems & Fujitsu Partner for Cyber Threat Program

BAE Systems and Fujitsu of Japan announced a partnership to implement a Cyber Threat Intelligence sharing system. The system demonstrates the utility of sharing cyber threat information internationally as a means of improving an organization’s overall cyber defense. The cyber threat intelligence sharing system developed under the partnership enhances the BAE’s ability to provide universal protection across both physical and virtual worlds, for both commercial and government customers.

Woolpert named Scott Cattran president and CEO. Cattran has been with the company for nearly 17 years and most recently served as COO.

Intergraph Government Solutions added David R. Shedd to its board of directors. Upon retirement in 2015, Shedd held the office of acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Prior to that, he served as deputy director of the DIA as well as deputy director for policy, plans, and requirements in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
